Irish researchers seek help from Nordic Baltic Network

Grainne Healy

Have you or your network provided services to a victim of trafficking who has been trafficked into or through Ireland? If so the researchers of a new Irish mapping on trafficking want to hear from you.

The new research will map the profile of women being trafficked into, within and through Ireland with a view to identifying the routes, origins and profiles of the victims.

The research will also map the sex industry in Ireland, which the commissioning body an NGO the Irish Immigrant Council, believes promotes and encourages the trafficking of women for sexual exploitation, including prostitution.

Please contact me at if you have any information or data to share with the researchers. The research will also identify best practice of legislation with a view to informing the development of victim centred legislation in Ireland.
